TREES.

*cough*
This actually took me a really, really, reeeeaaaallly long time to do.

I've never really sat down to devote myself to something of this scale... but... nyeh. I figure there's a first time for everything. And to think... this began as naught but a doodle in health and Safety last semester.

time spent: Many, many hours.
Media: Photoshop 7, sketch: hb pencil and sketchbook (OF DOOM)

Please... please critique. I want to know how to get better at this art thing. :)

You are easily better than me so I am not sure how I can help but I might try. The background doesn't really seem to have enough dimension to it. Too flat I guess. But still very good.

Hahaha, in retaliation to the previous comment, I actually like how flat the background is. The trees look like they're literally made out of paper. It's a really cool effect. I don't know if that's what you were going for or not, but it's pretty sweet :thumbsup:

thanks!! I actually had alot of trouble with the trees... eventually ended up using 2 different textures to get the bark-esque effect. ><;;

OOOOO.....pretty feathers.
Hmm, I really like the trees too. They and the creatures seem to clash, which I personally think is a cool effect.

And I reeeeeaaallly think you did a great job on the lighting. ('specially on the shaft od light. :D )
